Spend the day (trying to) wifi, very nice lunch (pork chops), explored chicken (took 10 minutes; they do have their own music podium though (see pic)), short walks, coffees, and then beers. Dinner, campfire, guitar. Slept at 12. 21/6 Overslept. Woke up at 6.50, on the road at 7.30. No, did not skip breakfast! On the way to the Canadian border now. Then to Dawson city for 2 nights. See ya in Canada. The border crossing went smooth. We arrived at the campingspot at 14.00 or so. Times for the big truck wash... we thought, but then it started to  hail. It showered like crazy. 13/6 Rose at 6.40 after again another good night of sleep. Left before breakfast with Bijan, Didi, and Norman to do a nice  2h hiking, starting from the visitor center. Bus of 7.40. Had breakfast at the Visitor center, hiked for 1.5 h and took an extra route to the showerblock and then back to the visitor center. Next the sledge dog training center. Nice, but not spectacular. Then we had to wait for 2 h in the sun (weather was beautiful , all day long (even got sunburned)) over a beer and some good conversations. Checked FB in a wifi environment. Then took the bus back. 2nd beer now at the truck, still in the sun. Great day (so far). Chicken wraps for dinner.  Lovely. Tired now, waiting to go to sleep. One more game of sudoku, then maybe an episode of fringe. On the road for a week now. It seems like it was 3 weeks ago since i left Holland. So much happens each day. 14/6 Rose at 7. It had been freezing, 5 degrees and i hardly noticed. Good gear and ...

I was ready to leave, so... 6/6 Rose at 6, last coffee in Meppel, train to Schiphol, check in, waiting .... 1 hour flight to Frankfurt and ... waiting ... delay, so ... more waiting. 2 hours behind schedule we left for the trans atlantic flight. View over Greenland was astonishing. Despite all preparations for the bordercrossing i only had to show my ESTA form at customs and i walked into the US of A (all documents about the trip (to convince border protection, that i would not stay behind in the US) made for nothing). Took a cap to the hostel, met Bob and his wife (fellow travelers), did some shopping (Wallmart supermarkets are huge ... i got lost !), a welcome beer with Bob, and fell asleep like a baby .... to wake up 3 hours later. Wide awake, due to jetlag. Well, that was to be expecte...
