Week 32, Argentina
09/1 ... 7 months on the road, 1 month to go...
Rose at 8.00 or so, breakfast , media, published week 31. Going out now... laterz...
So, another day of strolling through the harbours, a little parc, a beer and not really much more.
Short boat trips cost over $80,- for just 2 hours or so, let's not be crazy henkie.
Returned to the hostel, made a little lunch, ate it in the nearby parc, napped, ate dinner, showered. Now updating blog and finishing a last bit of wine. Leave early tomorrow for a 5 day (wild) camping trip to Buenos Aires. Laterz...
Completed the day with a nice jam session with Dor (stayed in the hostel as well). Slept good.

Rose at 5.15. Packed, read the news and on our way to Buenos Aires (BA). A 5 day camping trip. 8 of us have decided to fly up there. Finally space for all the luguage and i can sit in the front for a change.
First border crossing went smooth. Now on our way to the ferry. Laterz...
16.30 Lovely ferry trip .... nice temperature, fresh wind and lots of maggelan dolphins ... Bijan managed to catch some on his phone ...
On our way to the next border crossing, back into Argentina again... see you there.
Next border crossing went even smoother. Only 1 stamp needed, so ... out and into Argentina in 1 day.
Found a nice campground for wildcamp, dinner in 30 minutes, 1 beer, nice sunset ...
... update blog and some sleep now. Goodnight!

Rose at 4.50, pack, breakfast, truckpack. Another long drive day ahead, but i love these empty environments. However ... empty ... flamingos and other birds, we ran over an Amarillo, and loads of lamas (who stare at you when you take a leak)
Coffee at a gas station, another couple of hours of driving, lunch at gas station ... to go short: driving day.
Temperatures rise by the hour going north . Wearing shorts again. Laterz...
We found a campsite, so... decent toilets! No showers though, but hey... so, set up camp, set up my own tent (inner tent zipper has gone bad too now ), had a basic dinner (but Sharron and Lauretta had bought some very nice extra's), drank a glass of wine, checked fb and found out some very good news about a Anita (a friend back home).
Went to my tent at 10.00 or so. A episode of torchwood and a very good night of warm sleep followed.

Rose at 5.50, packed, breakfasted, packed the sleeping gear of the truck. Another day of driving ahead. Good day again though ... quite like these long drives.
We went to Valdez peninsula. On the way we visited a "welsh" village. I don't know what was welsh about it, except that everything was closed. Managed to get a milkshake though.
Place where we camp is nice and cosy and ... close to a very nice beach.... so a day at the beach for me tomorrow. Alone! Oh yeah! Now ... a little guitar and a cold glas of rose!

Slept in till 8.00! Yeah! Breakfast. Margarita and i decided to clean the tables and the windshields. Believe me... it was necessary.
At 10.30 i left for the beach. Loved it. Spend all day there...
At 3.00 i found this nice beach bar, where they served a nice red IPA and played the whole album "Ten" by Pearl Jam...
Live does not get much better than that.
Hugo studied some peculiar shaped sand dunes....
Came back at the campsite round 7.15. Just in time for dinner. Showered, had an (expensive) beer, chatted the evening away. Getting some sleep now. Laterz...

Rose at 6.00, breakfasted packed, packed the truck, on the road to BA. 1 night of wildcamping ahead, then arrival in BA. Its one of those driving days... laterz...
It was a long drive. Good, but not spectacular...
Wild camped along the road. Good work wrt seting up kitchen and cleaning (almost) everybody did his share and so it was done in no time. Nice sunset too ...
Slept early, since we had to ...

... rise at 4.00 AM. Packed, a quick cup of tea and on the road we were. Beautifull sunrise. Really amazing ...
It was cold early in the morning ... but Annete and Ken were prepared ...
Changed two tires along the way and arrived in BA round 15.00 or so.
Checked in in our hostel and Hugo and i went for a short walk and a big beer. It's a nice and lively city. Like it a lot.
Had a burger at McDonalds, shopped, and wifi-ed the evening away. Slept reasonable, but not as good as i would think after such a long day... oh well ...
